Inspired by historical pocket watches, the 1893 Johannes Drrstein Edition Moon Phase Limited Edition embodies the essence of Glashtte watchmaking and combines tradition with modern watchmaking expertise. Limited to just 131 pieces, this watch is characterised by its case made of solid 18-carat rose gold, which radiates a special elegance. In addition to the 750 rose gold case, the crescent-shaped date hand and the 24-hour hand are also in rose gold, while the other hands are thermally blued. The small seconds hand is positioned at 9 o\’clock and the moon phase display with a gold-coloured moon against a blue firmament is located at 6 o\’clock. At its heart beats the finely decorated UNG-58.S1 hand-wound movement with the typical Glashtte three-quarter plate and a power reserve of at least 65 hours. The first UNION timepieces were produced in Glashtte in 1893. The collection of the same name combines Glashtte watchmaking techniques that have been passed down for generations with stateof-the-art developments. A number of details, including blued hands, lacquered dials and railway track chapter rings, are reminiscent of the watches\’ predecessors without appearing outdated at all. This collection also includes hand-wound calibres. Thanks to our continuous perfectionism and the use of modern technology like the silicon balance-spring system or an indexless regulation system, our watches are more than ever at the forefront of watchmaking.
